Nursing Notes

Nursing notes are flexible, customizable and fully integrated with the physician procedure report. Designed for fast and accurate preprocedure, intraprocedure and postprocedure nursing documentation to fully eliminate paper in the ASC or hospital unit. It also draws personal and family history from the common medical chart and allows the physician to comply with Meaningful Use at the ASC and hospital.

Streamlines acquisition of patient medical history and allows staff to describe and route to physician's relevant information.

Paperless Faxing

Allows for sending, receiving and managing faxes electronically directly from inside gGastro+, ensuring referring physicians receive information the same day the patient is seen in your practice. The faxing module meets enterprise fax requirements including scalability, availability, security, compliance and cost efficiency. The faxing module also meets all HIPAA requirements.

Patient Portal

The HIPAA-compliant online tool allows patients to schedule and check appointments, receive bills and tests results, check prescription information and review other issues important to them automating time-consuming tasks.

Advanced Procedure Reports

gGastro+ generates Advanced Procedure reports that are simple, fast and highly detailed. Using gGastro+, physicians and staff can generate procedure notes, referring physician letters, and discharge notes in 3 minutes or less for the following procedures:

Image Management

Incorporates a browser based image manager capable of acquiring images in real time directly from any video endoscope. Images are then stored for printing, labeling or remote retrieval and incorporated selectively into the final procedure report, patient discharge instructions, referral letter and other documentation.

Includes billing reports and external order documents.

Order Tracking

Physician orders are documented and sent to medical assistants or laboratories directly. The order tracking system ensures all orders are completed to improve patient care and reduce errors and omissions.

Laboratory Results Management

Nurses and physicians can receive and manage all laboratory orders from the automated results management system. Currently, there are interfaces built for many national laboratories. Most results are received immediately after a transmission is sent directly from the laboratory.

Patient Portal

The HIPAA compliant online tool allows patients to schedule and check appointments, receive tests results, check prescription information and review other issues important to them. All of this can be done from any remote computer, freeing time for other activities. ePrescribing

Directly from the note writer or from the prescription module the physician can legibly and accurately write prescriptions and electronically send them directly to the pharmacists. gGastro+ will check all insurance eligibility and co-pay level for each medication prescribed, when available. Prescription refill requests are sent from the pharmacy directly into the system as well, where they can be approved or denied. The pharmacy will receive your responses electronically, eliminating the need to manage refills via phone calls or faxes. gGastro+ will help you meet MIPPA regulations and collect Medicare incentives.

E & M Coding

gGastro+ provides E&M Coding functions to give you the opportunity to increase revenue while protecting you from a potential audit.

Task Management

Physicians and nurses can track orders, results, messages and tasks performed on the patient securely and easily. It also allows communication between the staff and the patients to be enhanced, while decreasing liabilities and costs. AGA Digestive Health Outcomes Registry

gGastro+ is the only EHR approved to connect directly to the new AGA Digestive Health Outcomes registry. This registry allows physicians to monitor and improve patient care, while also generating data to compare the efficacy of treatments and potentially increase reimbursement. Physicians are able to collect and submit data with no disruption to workflow. Submission to the registry happens automatically. GI Quality Consortium GiQuIC

gGastro+ is certified to submit data to the GI Quality Consortium (GIQuIC) created in collaboration by The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Physicians can submit their endoscopy procedure and pathology results data to the registry for research and clinical outcomes studies, as well as creating benchmark reports for physicians and practices to support their quality improvements initiatives.
